And Michael’s “on fire.” Gee, I wonder what that means…

This concludes today’s article trinity on the Church of the Erin Andrews video peep pictures (aka viral topics I exploit for this blog). But I doubt you’ll find a take like mine on the matter, so you’ve come to the right place! CLICK HERE if you missed the second part; if you missed the BEGINNING, go there!

Recently, the old 1984 Pepsi commercial where Michael’s head went up in a blaze of Jerri Curl came back into the news. Michael’s death had everything to do with that, as people close to the situation were looking to lay blame and found the media circus to be a perfect soapbox. Plus they want money. Why don’t they use pay day loans and secured loans instead, I ask you!

But here’s where Belew takes it. He references the Pepsi incident as the time when pain killers became a regular part of Michael’s life and led him down a path of self-destruction. Perhaps it did. But here’s the point of comparison Belew makes: he compares Michael with Jeremiah:

Jeremiah the prophet speaks of having fire in his bones. Jeremiah 20:9 – “But if I say, “I will not mention him or speak any more in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.”

Michael, writes Belew, was burning to share his unique artistry with the people of the world. Jeremiah wanted to share a gift as well… “the gift of life,” Belew writes, punctuating the thought with “big difference.”

Wrong again, Bill

There is a difference, but not in the way you’re thinking. Art (from high art to the consumable) is vital to human existence. Without it, we stagnate. The creativity that is the hallmark of the human condition goes out like a light and we find little inspiration to live. Erin Andrews herself is a marvelous expression of the human genome. In a sense, that is art, founded upon millions of years of combinations to find the ones that are the most surviving. Hers just happens to be a good one.

Now, the Erin Andrews video peep pictures are just a pale representation of that. Yes, some might say it’s the closest they’ll ever get, which would be true. However, the film itself is not the art that makes life worth living. Life is the art that makes life worth living. Jeremiah’s gift pales by comparison, in that it is founded upon the will of a being who is possessive, jealous, violent and childish. By act two, the Greeks write the script and it comes across as more presentable, but not if you’re a gentile.

All I am saying is give Erin Andrews a chance, Bill

And by that, I mean watch ESPN game broadcasts. Don’t ogle Erin Andrews video peep pictures. Appreciate her for what she brings to the world. That includes well-delivered sideline commentary. Oh, and next time, bring a different book to the party. Don’t be a Buzz Killington, unless you have Erin Andrews etchings…
